By BBN Staff: Yesterday around 3:15 p.m., police visited the remains of Chateau Caribbean hotel located at #6 Marine Parade, Belize City where officers observed that already damaged three story wooden and cement structure engulfed in flames.
Belize National Fire Services personnel responded to the scene and managed to extinguish the blaze.
The famous hotel had previously been destroyed by fire on November 27th, 2016.
A security officer from the nearby Memorial Park reported seeing smoke and then later seeing flames erupt.
He mentioned that he did not see anyone suspicious or strange in the area.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
