By BBN Staff: On Saturday, Sonia Bainton and Elward McKay were detained at the Ladyville Police station. They were accused in a case of handling stolen goods.

According to reports from police, Bainton kicked a part of the cell wall breaking it open.

Bainton was charged yesterday with damage to property. She plead guilty and was fined $300 and ordered to pay $500 in compensation amounts to the Government of Belize.

Mckay and Bainton were charged for handling stolen goods. Bainton was released on bail of $800 and Mckay was remanded because of previous offenses before the court.
