By BBN Staff: Yesterday, the administrative staff of the Corozal Free Zone did not show up to work.

According to reports, the staff is protesting against the new CEO Valentino Blanco.

The Chamber of Commerce of the free Zone is also supporting the staff’s decision.

BBN understands that there are numerous issues surrounding their discontentment with the new boss.

Blanco is being accused of abuses in his administrative decisions in running the free zone including “family appointees.”

Blanco is an avid supporter of Corozal Southwest area representative Doctor Angel Campos.

Yesterday, Campos was in the zone having meetings with other government officials to broker a solution to the problem.
