By BBN Staff: The most intriguing character to appear for the Senate hearing on Wednesday was Mr. Middleton, formally, Mr. Barton Middleton.

He was the person accused of selling stolen visas to Patrick Tillet and Eric Chang at a cost of $18,000.

When he first appeared in front of the committee, he had no recollection whatsoever of those alleged transactions.

This week, he bluntly told all the Senators that, he had absolutely nothing to say.

According to Mr. Middleton, he was simply exercising his constitutional rights.

Senator Aldo Salazar severely warned him against perjury and reminded him that he could face jail time if found guilty of that offence.

After that tongue lashing, Salazar told Middleton he was free to go!
