Thief robs over $12,000 in cash from Go Wireless Direct Shop

By BBN Staff: A clerk at Money Gram located at the Corner of Cemetery Road and West Collet Canal, Belize City, reported that yesterday around 2:36 p.m. while she was performing her normal duties, a male person entered Go Wireless Direct Shop.

The man approached her, grabbed her by the neck, and placed a knife to her throat.

The assailant then took her inside the office and demanded money.

The clerk opened the metal safe box and gave him $12, 200.00 which were in different denominations.

The male person then made good his escape.

Police are investigating.
