Teenager drowns during agriculture show festivities

By BBN Staff: This weekend’s agriculture show would have concluded today without any major incident but a late evening drowning put a damper on an otherwise successful agriculture show.

The victim is a male teenager whose name is being witheld as BBN could not confirm if the family has been informed of the drowning.

According to reliable eyewitness reports a group of individuals were swimming in the Roaring river adjoining the show grounds when the teenager went under without anyone noticing.

After a while his friends noticed that he was missing and they began to search for him.

The victim’s body was retrieved a short while after and was transported by police to the Western Regional Hospital.
