Charred body found in burned vehicle still unidentified

By BBN Staff: The charred remains of a human body found in the backseat of a burned vehicle near mile 21 on the George Price highway is still unidentified.

Police also say that a cause of death has yet to be determined and police are not able to say if the remains are that of a man or woman.

What is known is that the vehicle sped passed the Hattieville police checkpoint without stopping.

The vehicle suffered a blow out and collided into a fence in an area near mile 21 on the George Price Highway.

The Kia went up in flames as the occupants made good their escape.

After the fire was extinguished, a body was discovered in the rear of the vehicle.

Yesterday at 3pm, a post mortem examination was conducted but no cause of death was determined.

Police investigations continue.
