Beyond the Horizon offers free medical services in San Ignacio

By BBN Staff: The United States Army South’s Beyond the Horizon 2017 program began offering free medical services at the Macal River Park in San Ignacio Town on Monday.

The medical services do not require appointments. The San Ignacio/Santa Elena Town Council has prepared a schedule to include San Ignacio, Santa Elena, Benque Viejo del Carmen and surrounding villages.

Below is the schedule:

The team includes general medical practitioners, optometrists, dentists, and OBGYN specialists.

The initiative is a collaborative effort between US Army South, the Belize Defense Force and the Ministries of Defence, Health and Education.

The program is valued at US $11.5 million.

Beyond the Horizon 2017 began on March 25 and will conclude in June.

On May 22 to June 1, the US Army South staff will head to Dangriga to offer free medical services there.
