Two men busted for drug trafficking on bus

By BBN Staff: Yesterday evening around 5:00, police were conducting a vehicle check point on the George Price Highway near the police booth in front of Rumors Resort in San Ignacio Town where officers searched a passenger bus with only four passengers on board, including the driver and conductor.

The other two passengers were 25-year-old Guatemalan laborer Milton Joevany Godoy Linares, and 19-year-old David Marcelo Linares, of a San Ignacio address.

On the rack of the bus was a black knapsack containing 789 grams of cannabis.

Both men were arrested and charged for the offence of Drug Trafficking.
