By BBN Staff: On Wednesday, May 10th around 4 p.m.., Independence police responded to a robbery and visited the Charlton’s Cable Office in Bella Vista Village, which also houses the ICB and Western Union offices where they received information that Lesli Williams, 29, a Guatemalan cashier of Bella Vista had already been taken to the Independence Village Poly Clinic for treatment.
Investigations revealed that about 3:25 p.m., Williams was at her place of work when a male person entered the establishment and told her to hand over the cash.
A struggle reportedly ensued between them where the culprit produced a handgun and hit her to the head and the gun went off.
He then fled the scene in a blue 4-door D-max that was waiting outside the establishment taking a black metal cash pan containing $300.00, property of Western union, and $252.00 , property of the cable company.
Police are investigating.
