Missing Belizean girl found in Mexico

By BBN Staff: According to a report from the authorities of the state of Veracruz, Mexico, a missing Belizean minor from Chunox, Corozal was found with an adult.

Belize’s Jasmine Alert was immediately activated after the initial report was made.

Police have ordered the arrest of the 43-year-old man who accompanied her. He is expected to be charged for rape.

The Mexican’s Amber alert program issued alerts and a police search found the girl and the man.

The girl was taken back to her home in Corozal.

The adult was taken into custody and will face legal charges.
