Belize holds national conference on Early Childhood Development

By BBN Staff:  The Ministries of Health (MOH), Education, Youth, Sports and Culture (MOEYSC) and Human Development, Social Transformation and Poverty Alleviation (MHDSTPA) are responsible for the GOB’s commitments to Early Childhood Development (ECD).

A national Early Childhood Development (ECD) Conference is taking place in Belize City at the Princess Ramada Hotel. It began yesterday and will conclude today.

The main objective of the two day session is to share the Belize Strategic ECD plan for the period 2017-2021 and thematic areas in the field of ECD with key stakeholders.

Distinguished guests include: Deborah Domingo, CEO MOEYSC; Patrick Faber, Deputy PM & Minister of MOEYS; Michael Brown, Minister of Education, Science and Technology from Antigua & Barbuda and Dr. Zoyah Kinkhead-Clark, UWI Jamaica.
