PG man wanted for murder and stabbing, police say

By BBN Staff: Yesterday around 12:25p.m., police visited the Punta Gorda Hospital where they saw Lacelle Martinez, 36, Belizean musician of Victoria Street, Punta Gorda Town suffering from stab wounds to the left side.

Police also saw Tiannie Figueroa, 20, of VOA Road, Punta Gorda suffering from stab wounds to the left leg and left shoulder.

Police investigations revealed that Simon Lino was driving his red pick-up truck on VOA Road and saw Figueroa, his ex-girlfriend and inflicted the injuries to her because of jealousy.

Lino then drove to Victoria Street where Martinez was staying and inflicted the fatal injuries to him.

Martinez managed to make his way to the Punta Gorda Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries at 1:02 p.m.

Figueroa was transported to the Punta Gorda Hospital and later to the Southern Regional Hospital where she remains in a stable condition.

Police are looking for Simon Lino pending investigations.
