By BBN Staff: In the early morning hours of Thursday, May 25, police visited San Jose Village, Orange Walk District where a wooden kitchen and a wooden bodega were seen engulfed in flames.
Ruperto Chi , 78, reported that about 12:55 a.m. he was awaken by noise outside and when he checked, he saw the kitchen and bodega on fire.
Chi believes that the fire started from a fire hearth that was left lit.
Police are investigating.
