By BBN Staff: Leader of the Opposition, John Briceno has responded to the remarks made by the Prime Minister about Brian “Yellowman” Audinett’s behavior in the House of Representatives.

A couple weeks ago, at the senate hearing Audinett threatened two camera men and threatened to break Krem News Director, Marisol Amaya’s phone.

Audinett is the Mace bearer of the House and Prime Minister Dean Barrow said that his behavior toward the press was unacceptable but that he would not support his firing.

The United Democratic party controls the majority of the House Staff Committee, who will meet to discuss the consequences, if any, to be brought against Audinett.

Briceno told the media that he expects nothing more than for them to keep “Yellowman” as Mace bearer.

Briceno said it is a shame that the Prime Minister has decided to “put the political interest of his party above the interest of this country and the Belizean people.”
