By BBN Staff: BBN reported on Saturday that a couple from Corozal had gone missing.

Neidy Orozco and her companion Baltzar Lopez have been missing since Thursday night around 9:30. They were last seen on the beach near Corozo Blue.

On Friday, police visited a cane field about 3.8 kilometers south-west of Patchakan village where cops discovered Orosco’s Chevy Prism car completely destroyed by fire.

The Fire Chief for the Corozal District certified that the vehicle was intentionally set on fire as it didn’t show any signs of electrical problems.

Family and friends have organized search parties throughout Corozal.

Now almost a week since the disappearance of the couple, the families say they have not been given any information by police.
The families of Orozco and Baltazar are now fearing the worst.
