By BBN Staff: The Department of Transport (DOT) has announced that Enforcement Officers will be engaged in monthly countrywide traffic enforcement activities, which will entail routine vehicle check points (V.C.P’s) and high visibility patrols.
The DOT is embarking on this new strategic operation throughout Belize in an effort to educate, sensitize and enforce the Motor Vehicle and Road Traffic Laws of Belize with the view of bringing about awareness and to curb the behavior of those blatant violators who constantly breach the law; thus creating problems within our traffic system.
The DOT hopes its new effort will help in preventing traffic incidents on roads/highways and save lives.
