Cotton Tree resident murdered

By BBN Staff: Last night, Belmopan police visited the Western Regional Hospital after receiving information of people injured by gunshot wounds.

Police observed a Hispanic man with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead by the medical officer.

He was identified as Omar Barahona, 21, of Cotton Tree Village.

Devon Alexander Brook, 20, of Cotton Tree Village was also seen with gunshot wounds to the right calves. Brook is listed in a stable condition.

Police investigations reveal that Brook and Barhona were socializing when a tall slim male of fair complexion with dreads walked up to them. pulled out what appeared to be a .9mm pistol and fired several shots in their direction.

The culprit then made good his escape.

Investigations continues.
