By BBN Staff: Errol Acosta, 26, of Deloro site area, Pomona Village, Stann Creek reported that on Saturday at about 2:00 a.m. while at home along with his common-law-wife Marcelina Perez and his two children, he heard footsteps on his verandah.
Acosta told police that he then noticed the house was on fire.
The house is an elevated wooden structure measuring 17 by 23 feet with zinc roofing valued at $20,000.
The house was completely destroyed along with household items valued at $10,713, all to a total of $30,713.
The building is not insured.
