By BBN Staff: According to police reports, on Saturday around 12:15 p.m., police received information of a stabbing incident at Reyes Tortilla place situated on Progress Street, Orange Walk town.
Police visited the area where cops saw blood stains on the ground and a kitchen knife with an 8 inch blade covered in blood.
Investigations reveal that Pablo Zenon Reyes, 84, of Progress Street was standing outside his business place when mental patient Nigel Guerra, 33, of Savannah Street, Louisiana area, Orange Walk reportedly approached him and inflicted the stab wounds to his left forearm and two to his abdomen area before fleeing the scene.
Reyes was admitted to ward in a critical but stable condition at the Northern Regional Hospital.
Police are investigating.
