Dangriga businessman robbed at home

By BBN Staff: Yesterday, 42-year-old Edilberto Arzu, businessman of Oswald Reyes Street, Dangriga reported that between the hours of 6:30 and 7:00 p.m. he, along with his wife, his father-in-law and his two children arrived home.

Arzu reported that when they got out of the vehicle and were walking towards the house he heard somebody say “Give mi the bag”.

The businessman turned around to identify the individual when the perpetrator reportedly hit him to the right side of the head with what he felt to be a firearm.

He was robbed of a brown handbag which contained $1,650 cash plus two cheques, one for $1,494 and the other for $393.

Also stolen was a Belizean passport valued at $50 and a Heritage Bank book all to a total value of $3,597.

The culprit then made good his escape.
