Belize City man robs Southern Quick Loan shop in Dangriga

By BBN Staff: Yesterday around 3:00 p.m., police responded to an armed robbery report at Southern Quick Loan on Chatuye Street, Dangriga.

Felecita Murcia, 29,  the cashier of Southern Quick Loan reported that while at the business place, a man entered the office with a manilla envelope in his hand.

The man  immediately pushed her inside the office, closed the door, and took out what appeared to be a firearm, pointed it at her and demanded money.

Murcia then reportedly handed over $412.00.

The culprit then placed the gun on the table and began searching the cabinets and reportedly hit Murcia on the left side of her face.

The culprit then stole electronic items, jewelry and other miscellaneous items – all to a total value of over $3000.00.

Police have since apprehended Bruce Harvey, 34, a  surveyor of #7 Dolphin Street, Belize City and recovered the stolen items along with a black 9 mm pistol with a magazine containing (10) live rounds.
