By BBN Staff: On Thursday, June 22, senior members of the Belize Association of Museums (BAM) will be signing their incorporation documents, marking the official formation of BAM.
The members of BAM first convened in March 2016, through a planning workshop hosted by the Museum of Belize. The workshop for museums and collectors commenced the development of a Museum Association.
The Belize Association of Museums seek to preserve, protect, showcase, and promote Belizean art, history and cultural heritage for the posterity of all Belizeans.
BAM’s goal is to be an organization of diverse cultural community, working together to build awareness of the importance of our national heritage and cultural identity.
The Museum of Belize and the Association seek to develop and empower small museums and collectors throughout Belize providing a forum for individuals who work in museums in the country to:
