Update on Friday night Santa Familia stabbing and murder

By BBN Staff: According to official reports, police responded around 10 last night to a stabbing incident in Santa Familia Village, Cayo.

Information provided by the Police is that Eliseo Bacab and Amy Guerra were at the village football field when they were attacked by three men, two of whom are known to the Police.

An encounter ensued and Bacab sustained wounds to left side of the neck, back of the head and back of the body. He is in stable condition at the San Ignacio hospital.

Guerra’s body could not be located and so a search party comprising of villagers and police were out searching today.

A short while ago BBN received information that Guerra’s body was located in the river and was transported to the San Ignacio morgue.
