By BBN Staff: Yesterday, around 12 pm, Ancuncion Choc, 85, of Santa Elena Village, Toledo District went to take a bath in the river.
The river is located about 200 yards from his house.
Around 1:15, Choc’s granddaughter went to look for him and found his clothes and soap near the river bank.
A search was conducted in the area and about 250 yards from where his clothing was found, Choc’s body was discovered.
His body was retrieved from the river and transported to the Punta Gorda Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 3:49 p.m.
