By BBN Staff: This morning, a magnitude 6.8 Earthquake hit the pacific coast of Guatemala.
Around 6:31 am, Guatemalans reported feeling the tremor.
According to the Geological Survey, the quake was centered about 24 miles (38 kilometers) southwest of Puerto San Jose and 6 miles (10 kilometers) below the surface.
Guatemala’s emergency management system, (CONRED) posted this morning on its social media page that it is monitoring for any damage.
