By BBN Staff: Avinash Deshmukh, 34,  an Indian store manager of Corozal town reported that last Friday he flew from Ranchito Village to San Pedro Town on the 1:30 p.m. flight, leaving his silver 4-Runner secured in the parking lot.

The flight arrived in San Pedro around 1:55 p.m. where he collected whole sale and retail proceeds from the store amounting to about US$22,000 and about BZ$10,000; totaling BZ$54,000.

Deshmukh told police that he then reportedly took the 5:00 p.m. flight back to Corozal.

After getting off the plane in Ranchito; he walked over to his vehicle and noticed a grey 4-door car parked behind his vehicle.

As he opened his vehicle, one of two assailants jumped out of the vehicle armed with a gun and robbed him of the back pack containing all the money.

In the process, Deshmukh was reportedly hit to his head causing a cut wound.

Police are investigating.
