By BBN Staff: A video footage gone viral on social media this week captured PC Florencio Rash in an inebriated fashion at the Belmopan bus station.

Yesterday police confirmed that he was under the influence of alcohol.

Belmopan Police have headed disciplinary actions against him which have resulted in him appearing before a tribunal for, “Prejudice of Good Order and Discipline.”

He pled not guilty and his case was adjourned until July 11.

Assistant Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams, indicated that if found guilty, Rash can face dismissal.

However, he indicated that would be an extreme penalty.

Instead he hopes that Rash is given the help he needs to prevent a repeat of that incident.

Recommendations have been made to have Rash placed on interdiction until his case concludes.
