Bus driver robbed in Lords Bank

By BBN Staff: Belizean bus driver, Dexter Hemmans, 36, of Hollywood Street, Lords Bank reported that on Friday night around 8:00 he was inside his bus doing his last bus run for the night when he stopped for two dark complexion men.

One of the men was armed with a firearm and demanded Hemmans’ money.

Hemmans told police that fearing for his life, he handed over his money bag with $320 cash in assorted denominations along with one white and black in Alcatel phone valued at $150 to a total value of  $470.

The culprits then made good their escape. Police are investigating.
