Two women robbed in Belize City

By BBN Staff: Esther Soberanis, 43, a Belizean-American teacher reported that at 12:50 p.m. yesterday while she was at the Lord Ridge Cemetery by Pitter Street, Belize City along with Sharon Thompson and other family members, they were approached by two men.

One of the men pointed a handgun at Soberanis and demanded her to hand over all of her jewelry and her cell phone.

Thompson was also robbed of her of jewelry, all to a total value of $7,158.00.

Both men then made good their escape.

Police investigations continue.
