Woman steals almost $15k from retiree

By BBN Staff: Yesterday, police responded to a report in the San Pablo area of Ambergris Caye where Kelli Rico, 53, in the company of her father Doyle Harris, 75, a retiree reported that on Thursday July, 6th, 2017 about 6:30 p.m., they arrived at home and were about to have supper when a person kicked opened their door and pointed a handgun at them.

A few minutes later, a female entered and relieved her father of two diamond rings, a gold necklace with a gold US coin medal and two knives, all to a total value of $14,650.

The woman then locked them in the house and made good her escape.

Police are investigating.
