By BBN Staff: A weapon was stolen in Belmopan and cops fear that it might be in the hands of criminal elements.
According to police reports, Belmopan resident, Elijah Samuel Gill, 40, told cops that between 12:30 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. on Sunday his black 12 gauge shotgun had gone missing.
Gill told police that he had left it inside his silver Toyota 4-Runner between the passenger and driver’s seat.
Belmopan Police have launched an investigation but have taken the opportunity to remind licensed gun holders that leaving their firearms in a vehicle is a negligent act.
