By BBN Staff: The Belmopan Police Department, in collaboration with the business community of that municipality, is offering summer jobs to children between the ages of 9-15.
Officer Commanding Belmopan Police, Sr. Supt. Howell Gillett said that they are targeting the less fortunate kids who must be living in Belmopan City or any of the 12 surrounding villages (Frank’s Eddy, St Matthews, Cotton Tree, More Tomorrow, St Margaret’s, Armenia, Valley of Peace, Roaring Creek, Camalote, Teakettle, Ontario and Blackman Eddy village).
Gillett explained that the jobs being offered range from mechanics, upholstery, agro-producing, tire repairs and fuel attendant services among others.
Persons interested are asked to visit the Belmopan Police Station.
“Our strategic vision is to give young people an opportunity to become role models and deliver them in to successful adults. Thanks to the business for their continued support,” Gillett stated.
