By BBN Staff: Yesterday, American couple Anke and David Doehm who are the main suspects in the death of their adoptive daughter, 13 year old Faye Linn Cannon were transported from the San Pedro Police Station in Ambergris Caye to the Queen Street Police Station in Belize City.

Cannon was found dead on Monday, July 3 inside the family’s condo in San Pedro.

The post mortem examination revealed that the child was physically and sexually abused.

David was charged for possession of drugs on Monday and was ordered to pay a fine.

He was unable to meet the fine since it was to be paid forthwith, so a warrant of commitment was issued for him.

Meanwhile, Anke was released for a couple of minutes and while she

walked out of the San Pedro Police Station, she was re-arrested.

In an interview with the media yesterday, Commissioner of Police, Allen Whylie stated that David could not meet bail but while he was being remanded to the Belize Central Prison, bail was paid on his behalf.

Anke is accused of being in possession of pornographic material.

However, Whylie stated yesterday that there is insufficient evidence to prove that Anke was in possession of the pornographic material.

BBN can confirm that the couple are still in police custody.

Whylie also indicated to the media, that the file is at the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) and police are awaiting the directive of the DPP in this case.
