By BBN Staff: According to police reports, Ernesto Cadle, 48, a taxi driver of Cowpen village reported about 7:00 last night he was driving his Isuzu Rodeo on the Southern highway from the Cowpen junction to Independence village when he was involved in an accident.
Cadle told police that when reaching between mile 36 and 37, he knocked down Benedicto Mendez, 62, of Cowpen who was traveling ahead in the same direction on a Skygo motor cycle.

Mendez sustained body injuries and died on spot.
Cadle is detained pending investigations.
