Corozal police bust seven pounds of weed

By BBN Staff: According to police reports, yesterday around 3:00 p.m., Corozal police were on mobile patrol on the Philip Goldson Highway in the vicinity of San Pedro village when cops stopped and searched 34-year-old Albert Humes of  Altamira area, Corozal town and 19-year-old Shanice Humes of Raccoon street, Belize City.

Police searched a grey knapsack that was between them and found three packages wrapped in transparent plastic containing 3,174 grams or over seven pounds of cannabis.

Police arrested and charged them both for drug trafficking.
