Woman raped in Caye Caulker

By BBN Staff:  A twenty four year old woman was raped early this morning as she slept in her home in Caye Caulker.

She told police that at around 4 o clock she was in her bedroom sleeping when she was awakened by a man on top of her.

The man reportedly held a knife to her face and threatened to use it if she did not cooperate as he raped her.

Police have not released further details of the rapist but are currently combing the island for him.
