Armenia villager robbed and stabbed multiple times by hitchhiker

By BBN Staff: Last night around 7:32, police visited the Western Regional Hospital where upon arrival they observed Adan Perez, 33,a Belizean bus driver of Armenia Village, Cayo District suffering with four stab wounds.
Perez had one stab wound to the chest, two to the right abdomen, and one under the right arm.
Perez reported that he was driving a white Kia 14 seater van from Franks Eddie Village to the direction of Belmopan City, and upon reaching between Cotton Tree and Harmony Ville, he picked up a man who sat in the passenger seat beside him.
Perez said that the man swiftly snatched a black purse from the dash board which contained $210.00 in different denomination.
Perez attempted to grab back the purse from the culprit but a struggle ensued where he sustained the injuries.
The assailant then made good his escape with the purse and its content.
Police are investigating.
