Yes, if these foreigners did in fact abuse and kill this child then they should burn for it. But I see a tremendous amount of racism and ignorance being displayed here. These people have not been convicted of any crime as of yet and should be treated accordingly. It is a fact that there are many more horrible sexual and child abuse crimes committed by Belizeans each year than by foreigners. So don’t play this “holier than thou” and hate card and then rage against foreigners until you have cleaned up your own back yard.

It saddens me to see people justifying what is happening with these two parents by saying “they haven’t been found guilty, so they should be free.” The FACT that this child was found in their home, had myriad injuries from heinous abuse, as reported and confirmed, leaves no doubt that these parents knew very well what was happening with this child, IF they were not participating in/inflicting the abuse themselves. This child was left to starve herself for approximately 3 weeks, per the parents’ admission. I am a mother and that would alarm me greatly. I would not sit by and watch this happen… that is severe neglect! I am from the US and there is a similar case, where the Dept of Children and Family Services was aware of abuse a child was enduring, continued to leave the child in the home to endure the abuse and that child is now dead! You know what? Not only are the parents in jail, the department social workers and supervisor involved with this case will spend jail time too because they knew and nothing was done about it! Come on Belizean people and even visitors, stop falling for anything and stand for something… for your rights! You have rights, just as little Faye had the right to be protected.
