Co-founder of Mount Carmel High School passes

By BBN Staff:  Father John McHugh, a co-founder of Mount Carmel high school in Benque Viejo del Carmen passed away last night.

McHugh passed away in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was 93 years old.

He was also the co-founder of Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity (SOLT ).

McHugh was a missionary in Belize and Guatemala for 30 years.

Armando Chulin described Father McHugh as “The great friend of the people…the man who loved the people, the man always kind, always humble, always a servant, a great son of God… the unforgettable Father John Mchugh is coming forward…I think you should name some street here with your name to honor him and show our deep gratitude for his full dedication to this town.”
