Decomposed body of Guatemalan farmer found in Alta Vista

By BBN Staff: This morning at around 6:30, Dangriga police responded to a scene in Alta Vista village on Davis Falls Road, Stann Creek District where they saw a Hispanic man lying on the ground with a large cut wound behind his neck and another to his left hand.

During the discovery he was already in a state of decomposition.

However, police was able to identify him as Guatemalan farmer, Jose Antonio Garcia, 73, of Alta Vista Village.

Police investigations revealed that he left his home on Sunday evening and was not seen until today by a fellow Guatemalan farmer who observed some stones with blood stains.
