/>By BBN Staff: Following the “All Clear” given by emergency management authorities, the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) is preparing to resume all services that were suspended during the emergency mode activation yesterday.
The KHMH announced this morning that as of tomorrow, August 9, all non-essential services, including specialist clinics, administrative services, morgue, high-risk clinic, and medical imaging services, will be made available.
In its announcement, the hospital also acknowledged its employees, who were all required to be away from their own families to attend to the needs of patients.
“The Board and Management of the KHMHA is grateful to the staff of the KHMHA on being present and steadfast in executing our duties as we continue to be the guardians of our Belizean health system through all situations,” the KHMH said.
Tropical Storm Franklin, which missed the one-year anniversary of Hurricane Earl by only a few days, did not cause any damage to Belize as it moved through the region headed for Mexico.
