By BBN Staff: A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Jafari Castro, Gilbert Franklin and James Young for the assault of Kevin Brown, which happened last week in San Pedro and reportedly caused Brown to fall into a coma.

According to police, Castro and Young are wanted for harm while Franklin is wanted for aggravated assault. Brown was reportedly attacked on the island on Sunday by a group of men over an argument which began because of a bracelet. Brown was allegedly bashed to the head with a fire extinguisher and caused him to slip into coma.

Earlier this week police had indicated that the Castro brothers were wanted for questioning in connection with the incident before issuing a release the following day explaining that the Castro brothers were not wanted and that no report had been made against them.

Minister Edmond Castro, in an interview with the media this week, said he had no knowledge of the incident and said one of his sons had left the country on Sunday morning and could not have been involved. Castro, however, refused to answer questions regarding his other son.
