By BBN Staff: Western Dairies (WD), the popular ice cream and dairy producing company in Spanish Lookout, celebrated its 50th anniversary last week.
WD is the leading milk manufacturer in Belize and their well-recognized ice cream is largely considered the tastiest frozen treat made in the country.
A small celebration was held in honor of the milestone and Area Representative, Orlando Habet; Minister of Agriculture, Godwin Hulse and CEO in the Ministry of Agriculture, Jose Alpuche attended the event.
WD kicked off the celebrations on August 10 with an anniversary ceremony and by offering a 15 percent discount on dairy packaged products. WD also had raffles, gift certificates and give aways.
Residents, visitors and invited dignitaries joined the celebration at WD headquarters in Spanish Lookout.
The company boasts six branches countrywide serving Belizeans and tourists.
Earlier this year, WD launched its newest product, an ‘ice cream ideal’ which comes in different flavors.
BBN congratulates Western Dairies on its historic achievement.
