By BBN Staff: At Friday’s sitting of the House of Representatives, the media got the opportunity to ask Prime Minister Dean Barrow about the controversial Vega- Banos land scheme, which was reported in the wake of several documents leaking to the press.

The documents showed a pattern with Ramon Rosendo Banos obtaining property for every member of his family then selling it shortly after to Eduardo and Alma Vega.

According to a report from 7 News, Barrow told the media: “Why would I look at those documents? What it is, is what it is. You are able to document that people on the face of it legitimately got land and that they ended up afterwards selling it to particular persons. I don’t know that there is any actionable illegality there. But the implications and the conclusions that you have drawn are not anything I will argue with you over at all.”
