Home burns down in Trial Farm

By BBN Staff: There was a fire in Trial Farm Village in the Orange Walk District, this morning.

Police reportedly responded to the blaze on Crab Fish Street at around 4:20 a.m. where they saw the wooden house on fire.

Jennifer Zuniga, 19, told police that she was asleep in her bed when she began to smell the smoke.

She immediately checked her kitchen area where she saw the stove on fire. Fortunately she and her two children were able to escape unharmed.

Police have not yet ascertained the cause of the fire.
