Vehicle crashes into lamp post leaving one man dead

By BBN Staff: In Orange Walk, there was a fatal road traffic accident to report.

Sometime around 7 a.m. today police visited the corner of Cemetery Street and Belize Corozal Road in Orange Walk town where they saw a red Toyota Rav 4 with extensive damages to its front portion.

On the road beside the RAV 4 police saw the body of 52 year old Raymond Hendricks, a resident of Trial Farm Village.

He was observed with severe injuries to the head.

He was transported to the Northern Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Also seen on the road following the accident was 20 year old Raymond Dominguez of Orange Walk Town.

He was observed with abrasions to his forehead.

Police investigations revealed that he was driving the Rav 4 when he collided into a lamp post. He has since been served a notice of intended prosecution.
