Belizean men cause trouble at Belize-Mexico border

By BBN Staff: Two Belizean men have caused much trouble at the Belize-Mexico border.

According to Mexican media outlets, the incident occurred at the Belize-Mexico bridge on Monday.

A Mexican taxi man picked up the two men from the casino in the Free zone enroute to Chetumal.

However, before arriving at their destination the passengers reportedly assaulted the driver and tried to subdue him.

The fearful driver, jumped out of the moving vehicle injuring his elbow and right

ankle.

The Belizean men then reportedly drove off in his taxi to the Belize side of the border.

Mexican authorities could not intervene in the matter as it was not in their jurisdiction.
