Dangriga home burns to the ground

Posted: Wednesday, August 30, 2017. 10:44 a.m. CST.

By BBN Staff: At around midnight on Sunday there was a fire in Dangriga town.

A 14 by 16 wooden house situated at the corner of George Price Drive and Isla Road was burnt to the ground before fire fighters could do anything.

Investigations revealed that the fire was caused by a burning candle.

At the time of the fire, Moses Blanco, 40, and Winfield Tasher, 43, were asleep in the building.

They were awoken by the heat of the blaze and managed to quickly escape.

Police sources say the building nor its contents were insured.
