Posted: Wednesday, August 30, 2017. 11:36 am CST.

BBN Staff: On Friday afternoon Christian Espat secured bail at the Supreme Court in Belize City.

The bail application made by his Attorney, Dickie Bradley, was approved after Espat was able to meet the $10,000 bail plus one surety of the same amount.

He is to return to court in October.

San Pedro police believe that Espat was the gunman in a shooting two weeks ago in which a 9-year-old was shot in the left wrist, a 12-year-old was shot in the right side of his buttocks, while 27-year-old Lloyd Tyndall, was shot three times in the left side of his abdomen and three times in his left leg.

As a result he was charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of dangerous harm and three counts of use of deadly means of harm.
